The Practice of Advanced Critical Care: A Multispecialty Simulation-Based Conference
This conference focuses on sharpening emergency life-saving skills of bedside intensivists including advanced techniques in echocardiography, difficult airway management, rescue therapies for severe ARDS and advanced cardiac life support. Methods include small group simulations based on real patient cases with expert debriefing and hands-on workshops including procedural instruction using human cadaveric and animal tissues.

Bhupinder Natt MD Named New Associate Editor Pulmonary & Critical Care
Dr Natt received his medical training at the University of Kerala, India. After internship at Unity Health in Rochester (NY), he moved to University of Arizona for completion of his residency. He stayed on to complete his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. His clinical and research interests include airway management, interstitial lung disease and extracorporeal membrane xxygenation. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine.
Safal Shetty MD Named New Associate Editor Sleep - February 10, 2016
Dr. Shetty received his medical degree from the M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore University, India in 2001. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine was at Franklin Square Medical Center, an affiliate of the University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Shetty was an Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine at Louisiana State University Health Sciences, Monroe, LA before coming to the University of Arizona Health Network in February 2013. He completed a Fellowship in Sleep Medicine at University of Arizona Medical Center Tucson in 2015.His research interests include, sleep apnea and home sleep study testing and improving CPAP adherence through peer driven intervention. Dr. Shetty is board certified in Internal Medicine and Sleep Medicine. Welcome Dr. Shetty!
